Hi Scott, Doug and anyone else out there who does page formatting

I am using QuarkXPress 6.52 twice a year to format journal articles with
lots of footnotes (the editor prepares the articles which come in Word using
Editors Toolkit to put in Xpress Tags).

I had no problems with OS Tiger 10.4 on my old iBook but recently bought a
used MacBook Pro with OS Leopard 10.5.8. I am afraid my version of Quark
could be unstable on Leopard (or even worse if I upgrade to Snow Leopard),
does anyone have experience with this? I could keep using the old iBook for
just this task.

I have used Quark just for this job for a number of years now and wonder if
there is a better way to format the articles, say, using InDesign which
apparently now supports in-line footnotes. I imagine there may be glitches
importing articles directly from Word though.

Any advise/opinions?
Thanks!

 works great here Doug
way better than the Adobe CS2 issues I had with Leopard. Crash-tastic!
what version of Quark are you using?

Excuse me but why would anyone WANT Snow Leopard? I have OS 10.5.8 and
didn't need but the alluring title sucked me in and now my version of
XPress is unstable. Usable but it was perfect under the "old" system.
