I'm fighting the transition to OS X tooth and nail, but I think I may have to give in and go 98% OS X (as soon as I upgrade the RAM on my newly acquired laptop). Classic is giving me headaches with dial-up, and OS X is *by far* the superior OS for laptops -- all the bugs Apple never bothered to fix in OS 9.2.2 have been worked out of OS X (e.g. waking from sleep in OS X is *instantaneous*, no blank wakeup problems, etc). Also, web browsing in OS X is now *hands down* better and more stable than OS 9. I normally *hate* dialup internet access on Macs (even on fast Macs) but under OS X it's nearly as good as what you can get on Windows. For some things I find that dial-up on OS X is *much* faster and more responsive than 10 base-T LAN internet in OS 9 (same computer).
