Our friend Bruce Brebner has very recently launched The Highland Walking
Society - http://www.thehighlandwalkingsociety.com
Sue and I went on his Mont Buet Circuit trip this summer which was 4 days of
wonderful hiking, culminating in the ascent of Mont Buet. The pace was
suitable for anyone who is reasonably able bodied which would include ALL
Mugdock runners. Bruce will be organising a series of interesting walking trips
for 2018 - some to places you might not normally think of visiting that would
be rather hard to self-organise without inside knowledge eg Caucasus Mountains
in Georgia, Vikos Gorge in Zagori, as well as more familiar European
destinations. We can’t recommend him highly enough, and the chat and
testimonials on the website well reflect our positive experience.
