Hi Folks,

As you are mostly aware some of us Mugdock runners are involved in the Craigend
redevelopment project.
It would be a great help if on replying to this survey you highlighted Craigend
and indicated it should be put back to good use as an modern activity centre
with retained facade.

Please take a moment to fill out the survey.

Thanks,
Hugh.

Subject: Help shape the future of Mugdock

People in East Dunbartonshire are being urged to help shape the future of
around 270 hectares of woodland, open moorland, lochs and castles.

Mugdock Country Park is one of the jewels in Scotland's crown and views are
needed to help guide the development of facilities and services over the coming
years.

More than 600,000 visitors flock to Mugdock - which straddles the border
between East Dunbartonshire and Stirlingshire - every year to enjoy the park's
rich natural and built heritage, as well as a varied programme of events.

An online survey has been launched to inform and focus the direction of
services and facilities at the country park over the next few years.

The park is financially supported primarily through funding from East
Dunbartonshire and Stirling Councils. The Mugdock Trust, a charitable
organisation, carries out fundraising activities and volunteers also provide
in-kind assistance.

In addition some income to the park is generated through commercial lets, room
hire, ticket sales, shop sales and donations.

East Dunbartonshire Council employees work throughout the year to maintain
Mugdock's rich natural and built heritage, and encourage and promote
involvement with the local and wider community through the Countryside Ranger
Service based at the park.

The closing date for completed surveys is 3 October 2014.
