Shasta Scramble Series Announces
Montague Spring Scramble
Hey Gang,
1. SCRAMBLE NOTICE: If you are signed up for the Scramble in Montague this
Saturday from 8:30-1:00 PM. PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY & PLEASE REMOVE
YOUR NAME FROM PTS IMMEDIATELY IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO PLAY. PLUS, WE NEED ONE
MORE PLAYER. If you are not participating you can delete this email.
2. GREAT WEATHER: Thanks for signing up for our Scramble on Saturday! Looks
like the weather is going to be great. Ranging from 50-70 degrees with light
winds!
3. JUGGLNG THE BRACKETS: We currently have 9 Intermediate Soft, 13 Intermediate
Hard and 9 Advanced players. The ideal number of players is 32, and we
currently have 31, so if you know someone that wants to play at any level, let
them to know that we will still accept them, until we get to 32 players. We
plan to have one Intermediate Soft bracket of 8 players, two Intermediate Hard
bracket with a total of 16 players, and one Advanced bracket of 8 players. So
if you are in the Soft or Advanced brackets, and you would be willing to move
to Intermediate Hard that might be helpful for us to know. Please text this
info to Pete at 530-598-1527.
4. DIRECTORS DISCRETION: The directors reserve the right to place players at
the level that is most appropriate for their level of play and the level of
play of others in their bracket.
5. WAITLIST PLAYER: Wednesday’s waitlist players will all be invited to play
and removed from the waitlist, until we get to 32 players. No matter what level
they have signed up for.
6. SCRAMBLE COST
a) $20 scramble entrance fee
b) $10 for 2024 club membership (required if you are not currently a SVPC
member* &/or $10 discount for 2024 membership)
*Per our NEW insurance all players will need to be Shasta Valley Pickleball
Club members in order to participate.
7. DAY OF SCRAMBLE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Arrive by 8:30 AM, play will ideally start a little before 9 AM
2. PLEASE bring one of these to share: fruit, pastries, cookies, energy
bars, etc.
3. Check in at the Scramble desk. Pay your fee. Drop off food brought, Vote,
fill out your Shasta Valley Club membership form mandatory, if not a member.
* $20 scramble fee (plus $10 one time membership fee for your 2024 club
membership if desired)
1. Help set up nets, set up tables for food, do your warm-ups and get ready
to play!
2. Once we are set-up, we will review any pertinent SVPC news, the scramble
schedule, and rules.
8. PAPER BALLOTS will be available at the Scramble for anyone who wants to
vote. Below is a sample ballot.
