Hi all,
I wanted to share a warm-up that I do before playing pickleball. It's used to
get my muscles warm and ready to move around the court. It takes about 5-10
minutes at most and I like that many of the 'moves' reflect the way we move our
legs, hips, arms, and shoulders, to play the game. Remember when doing these
exercises, no bouncing.
First, I do the exercises in this video. They are pickleball-related, which
inspires me to do them.

I find them tremendously helpful. When I finish these exercises, I do a slow
jog around the court, making at least two full revolutions, maybe three. Then I
go to one sideline and side step from outside one sideline to outside the other
and then back again. I do that at least twice. That gets my lateral movement
ready. Only then do I get on the court and practice hitting the ball a few
times before starting to play.
I'm inspired to send this message out because of Audra's latest message about
tight calfs. Doing some of these warm-ups might help get your muscles warm and
reduce injury and soreness.
