Highlight all of the data to be sorted, excluding the header
rows rather than just clicking in one cell of the data.
When you sort, make sure the no header rows is checked.
This should sort only the data.

Subject: [mso] sorting Excel

I have imported an Excel file from a financial site and want
to sort. There is labeling at the top that includes 3 rows.
When I sort and select "header row" it only leaves one of
the rows at the top.

Is there a way to sort and leave all three rows at the top?

Just other information, I tried merging the 3 rows at the
top into 1 row for each column, but then when I tried the
sort I got an error message that said all merged cells had
to be the same size.

Thank you,
Jenny
