Mark-
Instead of printing a document directly to a printer, you can print it to a
printer file and then send that file to a printer. This can be useful if you
are working on a computer that is not connected to a printer.

When you print a document to a file it creates a document .prn extension.
You can open it in WordPad, but the document will now have all sorts of
printer codes added to it. The original document text can be hard to find.
The printer codes are the codes for whichever printer was selected in the
printer dialog box when the file was created. You can drag the *.prn to your
printer icon, and the document will print.

Hi Mark......this really isn't an Office question but the last thing I
want to do is yell at anyone for posting OT questions in here today LOL

I really don't know the answer to this one but I am chatting with Vic
now and he and I agree that maybe you could try opening it with Notepad?

Otherwise, I would try posting this question to a Windows or DOS group

Good luck
