One of the SP's for Office XP improved that situation Anne.

If you install the latest one (SP3), it includes the first two...

Ditto from here, although I'm on Outlook 2002.  What's even more annoying
is that Outlook still won't run my rules on startup so I have to go
through and manually sort out all the junk at the beginning of each day.
Is there a nice fix for this anywhere?  I'm not running anti-spam
programs, only Outlook message rules, so Dian/Greg's link doesn't provide
the answer.
