Hi Peter. Sorry to tell you this is not that easy using the traditional
Graphic Programs...believe me, I know....I do this all the time to make
the lessons for my online lessons....tho, I'm not using Word since my
lessons are on web pages. I'm using FrontPage, but the process you
describe is the same....tho I have found that Photoshop is really pretty
fast and easy for doing this (as opposed to Paint)....but there are some
other small programs that do it pretty much all in one step...there's
One called Print Key that let's you capture just a segment of your
screen when you do the screenshot....it's pretty cool

You can find Print Key here. There's a 30-day free trial version, so
you can check it out...and if you choose to buy it, it's only $19.95:

Or...if you want to stick with Photoshop or something you already have,
here's a little tutorial I wrote on resizing graphics:

Good luck

Subject: [mso] icons toolbars

Hi everyone,

(sorry if this is a duplicate posting, trying to figure out how to
post)

I'm trying to produce some notes for students using MS Word where I
have to insert text windows and paste graphics such as a screen-shot
toolbars (example the draw toolbar in MS Word) and icons (example,
the icon representing "format paint" represented by a picture of a
paintbrush)

For screenshot, I have learned to use Alternate+PrintScreen, followed
by Paste). However, to get the toolbars and/or the small icon, I had
to use Alt-PrnScrn, then paste into a draw program such as Paint or
Photoshop, then erase and/or trim the unwanted part. This is proving
to be very cumbersome plus hard to control the size and resolution.

Does anyone know how to copy and paste toolbars and/or icons into
WORD documents

Thanks a million

Peter
