but even with the links, one cant see which cell has links and which cell has not. is there any short cut to fing out which cell has link to other sheet. sometimes when i try to make a new file using an old file, most items are copied and pasted special values but a few have formulas. in a large file it becomes too tedious a thing to see which cell is left with links. rk "Linda F.
