Is there any way to use Office XP to create a pdf document, and if so,
how is this done?

As long as you purchase the PDF writer from Adobe, you can "print" an
Office XP document to the "writer" and you will get a PDF file.
OR, you can go to the Adobe site and do it free 5 times
