Yeah, Beth is an ace, but I think the "Display the search results" comment
could have used a little more details to clarify.

Understand she doesn't mean the help dialog itself...as in hitting F1, but
the actual Search Results task pane, which is displayed by using the drop
down (or what you get once you actually ask for some search).

Try this to see if you get the same results...

* Hit Ctrl + F1 to display the Task Pane (if not already displayed)
* Click the drop down from the TOP menu on the task pane, and choose Search
Results (3rd item down).
* Now look at the BOTTOM of that pane and you will see a small SEARCH input
box.
* There are two input boxes...the top one is a drop down, click it and
choose Offline Help (it will probably be saying Microsoft Office Online
now).

Hi Dian,

You said:

Check out this TechTrax article, it'll show you how to fix the on/offline
settings, both temporarily and as a default...

Tame Office 2003 Online Help Content!

My version of Word 2003 (11.5604.5606) doesn't show the drop-down list as
indicated in the TechTrax article, but I found "Online Content Settings"
under
"See also in Word help.

Except for that bit of confusion, the article is comprehensive and very
helpful.

Thank you.
