Just add the word FALSE to get an exact match. By default, Excel assumes if you don't put this in, that you want an approximate match (which is the same as using the word TRUE) So...your formula should look like this: =VLOOKUP(B2,$N$2:$O$40,2,FALSE) If you want to know more about vlookups, I have an interactive vlookup formula at my website here: http://personal-computer-tutor.com/vlookup.htm Hope this helps. I have a VLOOKUP formula that probably works as it is supposed to, but it returns the closest value. I don't want it to return any value unless the match is exact. I would once again appreciate help. Thanks Don =VLOOKUP(B2,$N$2:$O$40,2) ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
