Yep...I was thinking if there was a way to change the user info in
previous comments, you would know how to do it, Dian...that's why I
wasn't answering

As far as I know, the user name stays on a comment as it was originally
entered and does NOT change when you switch to a new user.

In all the Track Changes lesson I teach, when one person is trying to
see how it works, I have them switch user info all the time so they can
see the different stuff identified with different users. By default,
this stuff does NOT change and I don't know any way to make it change.

Further to Linda's comments...you can change the user info under
Tools/Options/UserInfo. But that only changes it for Word, not the PC.
And I
don't know if that'll change things for previous docs, I doubt it, but
you
can try.

However, Linda is right...post to one of the Desktop/Word groups at the
URL
below is probably your best bet if you don't get an answer here (and
mine
wasn't very good<g>). You can find your way there via this default URL
of
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups.
