>because I was told it would overwrite my O 2K files.. Nope! Even if you DID upgrade, it would only overwrite your system files, but all your actual data files (letters, spreadsheets, etc) would be fine). But as long as you pay attention and not click to remove the old version...and put the new version in it's own dir...you'll be fine. Really the only issue you'll discover is that...if you open say Word 2000 and then close it and open Word 2003...you'll have about a min to wait while the new system files for that version reset themselves as the defaults. It'll look like it's reinstalling itself, but it's just setting itself up as the primary app. If you then close 2003 and reopen 2000, you'll have to wait again. If you reopen the same version, you won't have that wait. So it can be a little juggling act resetting which one rules the doc association as the boss...but overall, everything else is not a problem. Hello, Thank you so much! Yes it does help.. In addition, you have advised me how to also have Office 2003 Pro installed to my pc.. I have been putting off installing it to the same machine with Office 2K because I was told it would overwrite my O 2K files.. I originally purchased the professional O 2K with all the Business & Developer capabilities and did not want to lose all the scripting options. This is great to have someone knowledgeable enough to answer my questions.. Again.. thank you for your reply. B. Robert >From: "Dian D.
