Hey Greg....I really DO appreciate what you are doing here....and I hope the members of this group do also....since this is an Office group and most of us are therefore using Outlook, it's important that we understand how to get rid of those = signs at the end of our lines (especially when they screw up links we are trying to post) but, being the dummie I am with this stuff, I'm still a bit confused....if I change the reg value to 3, are you saying then that I DON'T have to check that uuencode box? (that seems to be a total PITA since I really DO need to receive attachments in other mails) The problem I'm having is you've now turned on and off so many things, I'm confused as to what steps I do have to take and what steps I don't...LOL Anyway...please feel free to send all the test messages you want to this group until you are sure you've figured out the solution....then, can you do me a favor? Once you've figured it all out, can you send STEP-BY-STEP instructions for the members on exactly what we need to do to fix this? I will then post these instructions on my website so new members with this problem can be directed there in the future so we don't have to have this discussion on this list every couple months (as we have for the past two years)...is that too much of an inconvenience for you? I will certainly credit you and mousetrax at my site for all this work...it is VERY much appreciated, as this has been an ongoing problem with this group ever since we moved to freelists Also...for any comcast users, please know that Greg is also helping me offlist to find out why some of us cannot post to freelists....freelists blames this on Comcast and Comcast blames it on freelists, so I have been getting the runaround here....however, Greg pointed out to me that there's a "middle man" server involved here, called siteprotect.com (in my case anyway) and that seems to be my problem....so if anyone is having a problem sending mail to this group, you may want to see if there are any other servers mentioned in the header you receive from the mailer daemon....Greg, I've written to Hostway (my domain) and asked them to check into siteprotect for me, since siteprotect is something Hostway uses (some anti-spam thing maybe?)....I 'm hoping siteprotect IS the problem and this can be fixed so I can post to this group from my normal email addy again And, any of you who find this uuencode thread to be off topic and not relevant to you, please just delete the messages and please understand that we are doing this to try to make this list work better for all of us Thanks Greg!!!
