Ray, Angela and all..... I believe frame is TEXT box in newer versions of Word so Angela's method might be the right answer for you Ray. To check it out, do an Insert Text Box and draw the shape, doesn't have to be perfect as you can change/move it later. In the box, do a return (I like to work with the paragraph marks on so you can see where things are) and type some text. Place your cursor above the text you typed and do an Insert [picture/graphic]. Now if you highlight all, you can align the elements you just created. The only thing I don't like about this method is I haven't figured out a way to wrap text around the picture. However, the whole TEXT box can be treated like a graphic. Still, my original method below generally works best for me. hth. /glenda. >From: "GLENDA WELLS" <gwells58@xxxxxxx> >Reply-To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [mso] Re: Tie Caption to Picture >Date: Tue, 06 Jun 2006 07:33:07 -0400 > >Insert the picture >Create a text box to contain the caption >Format each In Front of Text >Select both objects >Open the Drawing toolbar >Align the objects >Group the objects >Format the new object for Alignment and Text Wrapping > >I would handle the line as a graphic also. > >hth /glenda > > >From: Ray Shapp <ras45@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > >Reply-To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > >To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > >Subject: [mso] Tie Caption to Picture > >Date: Mon, 05 Jun 2006 17:22:54 -0400 > > > >Hi Folks, > > > >In Word 2002, I want to tie a caption of about 30 words to a picture, and > >then > >wrap other text around the photo and its caption. > > > >The caption and picture should stay together.
