Hi Ray.

I've never ever used the Office toolbar. Before Windows XP, I used the
Start Menu and before that, I made a folder on my desktop containing my
most used links.

With Windows XP, I created a custom toolbar. I made a folder containing
my most used office links. Named the folder Office. Applied a jazzy
icon. My XP toolbar is at the bottom of my screen on auto hide. For
me, it's kinda like one stop shopping. I have what I want, where I want
it, when I want it.

right click your existing start menu toolbar. click toolbars. choose new
toolbar. click make new folder. find the objects you want on your new
toolbar and drag them to it. once it's available, you can rename it and
change the icon.

hope this helps. /g

Subject: [mso] Shortcut Bar Replacement

Hi Group,

I just got a new PC with the latest OfficeXP Pro, and I discovered that
the shortcut bar is no longer a part of the new version of Office. This
is a major disappointment because I use it all the time. The Help file
shows how to add shortcuts to the Start menu and to customized tool
bars, but I'm looking for a way to regain the power and flexibility that
was built into the old shortcut bar including the auto-hide feature.

Any suggestions for an alternate shortcut bar?
