Thank you Dian; I always learn something when you answer questions.
If Superscript and Subscript are used a lot, perhaps this suggestion might help.
Put Subscript and Superscript icons on the Formatting Tool Bar.
To do this:
If Formatting Tool Bar is not present:
Click on View
Click on Toolbars
Highlight Formatting
Click on workspace in Word and you should see the Formatting Tool Bar.
On the right end of Formatting Tool Bar find the small down arrow and click on
it;
Hold left mouse button down and move cursor onto Add or Remove Buttons
Subscript and Superscript are near the bottom of the drop down menu.
Click on the two words to place icons on the Formatting Tool Bar.
