Actually, there's only me who will access the folder.
I am just saying, I know or read somewhere that if outlook open the pst
file, it will not allow another occurrence from somewhere whether through
the network or that sort.
The thing I want to accomplish is, I got this workstation I work on and my
girlfriend will take over but leaving outlook open but she will do some
scanning using my ocr program and I will be in the other room reading my
notes, so I just want to know if I can access my messages or that pst file
or through other means and yet my outlook or whatever is still
downloading my mails on the other side of the house?

gone for now

Thanks for clarifying this Linda.

I assume you run a small network? And you place the *.pst in a folder that
each pc can use when it's in use? Neat idea. Does it slow outlook such
that
you'd notice to run outlook on the 2nd or 3rd pc when it's physically
stored
on another machine?
