Yes, I do that often. Go to Format, AutoFormat, Options, and select the type
of quotes you want to useat that moment. If you want to use straight quotes,
leave the Replace straight quotes with curly quotes check box cleared. If
you want to use curly quotes, make sure that check box is selected. Click OK
and then Close. Then set the search function to replace a quote mark with a
quote mark (it works for single and double quotes). When it finds a quote
mark, it will replace it with the type you have set.

But what I really need is a way to find straight quotes and not curly's or
curly's and not straights.

I want to find all the curlys to be sure they should be curly's and all the
straights to be sure they should be straights. As it is, no matter what I do I
cannot distinguish the find.
