Hi Bill.  I'm not sure what you are looking for, exactly.  But, if you want
to know what =RAND() does, here's a little summation

=RAND tells Word to insert Random text....Word chooses The quick brown fox
jumps over the lazy dog.  And inserts three paragraphs, with the sentence
repeated five times per paragraph, by default.

If you want to change this, type =RAND(4) and this will give you four
paragraphs with the default 5 lines each.

Or, if you type =RAND(4,7), this will give you four paragraphs with 7 lines
each.

However, if you are looking more for HOW this works, someone who knows VBA
will have to chime in here.

=RAND() also works in Excel

I tried to search for it in the vbe editor and got an explanation
For randomize or rnd ....  But not rand ... went back and re-read
Basics for word 201 and did not find it ... I am sure it is something
That has been explained but I am missing ...
