Hmmm...as far as I know, printing in color is not controlled by Word, but is
controlled by your Printer. Is your printer a color printer? And, if you
look in the printer properties, do you have something set up there that is
telling it to print in black and white?

Are you saying that normal documents print the text in color, but labels
only print in black? If so, that's way weird.

So, I guess what I'm asking is, do other documents in word print in other
colors? If you open a blank document and type one word, then make it red or
something...does that also print in black?

Subject: [mso] Printing Labels in color in Word

I currently have Word 97 and I have been unsuccessful so far in
printing labels (Avery 8160 - 30 labels per page) in color. Two
questions:

1. Is there a way to print color labels in Word 97?

2. Is it possible to print color labels in later versions of Word

(To be clear, I am looking to have the text print in color, not the
label itself per se)

From my version of Word, you can tell that I don't upgrade software
"just because". To date, I haven't found enough good reasons to do so.
This MIGHT push me over the edge.

Thanks

Chuck
