Two ways that I can see to do it easily:
1) Do it with two slides, with one set of text on one slide and the other
set of text on the next. Set up an automatic transition between the first
and the second, then set the two up as a looping kiosk.

2) Create one slide with two objects. Set up an entrance animation (right
click custom animation) for each. Then, set up an exit animation for the
first one and move that animation up in the animation list so that it is
between the two entrance animations. Set this single slide up as a kiosk
show.

Now, if you need more information on creating looping presentations, check
out this tutorial from TAJ Simmons' site:

http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpointlooping.htm

If you need more details on setting up the animations, post back with which
PPT version you are using. Animations changed in 2002.

Subject: [mso] PowerPoint Welcome Screen ?

Can I make a PowerPoint "welcome to..." slide?

I have a photo of a butterfly, with dark surrounding edges, that I would
like say "We welcome you this afternoon" pause long enough for people to
read that, and change to "Welcome to the Legacy class"

My efforts so far result in the two texts superimposed on each other,
making it unreadable.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am sure it is a rookie mistake- I am
new to Powerpoint and trying to learn it at an accelerated pace.

Thank you.

Robert
