Thanks for the information. I did that and the main Outlook Folders were correct. When I tried to restore my personal Folders, I mixed them in with all the others (the Inbox, Calendar, Contacts, etc.). I have tried to "undo" what I did to no avail. I now have a Personal Folders folder that I can not delete. Is there a line in the registry that will get rid of the Personal Folder folder that I can not delete? I would like to try to import or force my old collection of folders into Outlook but not at the same level as the Inbox, etc. Am I making any sense at all? Can this be done? Thanks again George -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Linda Johnson Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 11:59 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: Outlook on A New Computer All you need to do is search the hard drive on the new computer for outlook.pst so you know where it is....then make sure Outlook is closed and just copy the outlook.pst from the old computer to that location and it will overwrite the default one on the new computer and the new computer will have everything the old one had Linda Publisher ~ ABC ~ All 'Bout Computers Owner ~ Linda's Computer Stop www.personal-computer-tutor.com Author/Teacher ~ MS Office EBooks/Classes www.personal-computer-tutor.com/services.htm -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of George Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 11:27 PM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Outlook on A New Computer I backed up or actually copied my Outlook2000 pst file and my personal folder file. On the new computer I am running Windows XP and Outlook XP. The import function would not allow me to import the pst file so I opened it in Outlook XP. I now have a calendar, contact, and other folders in my new outlook. I tried to copy the contacts and calendar folders into the ones that Outlook XP produced when installed but could not do it. I ended up with a Calendar folder under the Calendar folder in Outlook XP and the same for the contact folders. How can I get my calendar and contact information into the main folders and out of the secondary folder under them?
