[mso] Outlook importing from OE - I promise this is not OT!

I recently upgraded my home PC from 98 to Win (yes I know I should have =
done
it ages ago) and took the opportunity to load MS Office, therefore =
imported
my email accounts and settings from OE. For some reason, a proportion =
of
the transferred emails have shown the date that the import was carried =
out
as the received date, rather than the correct date they were originally
received (in some instances these mails are more than 2 yrs old).

As Outlook doesn't by default install mail boxes with the Sent field
showing, that has meant I've had to do a manual adjustment to the views.
It's not been a problem as such but I am intrigued to know why Outlook =
has
given spurious Received date info to only some of the mails.

Also is there a quick way to edit the folder views to apply the same =
fields
and sort settings to each folder? I have tried editing Current view and
applying to all folders but it doesn't seem to have worked.

Finally, I set up a whole load of what I thought were PST folders to =
move
old mails into by categories & rules. No sooner had I finished then =
they
had renamed themselves back as *archive* several times over even though =
I
had set up PSTs! It was a real PITA to re-edit and change the rules to =
what
I had originally wanted. Where did I go wrong?

Awaiting your responses in eager anticipation, as ever!

Anne
