Hi Ron....looks like there are LOTS of reasons you could be getting this
message...check out this list:
http://snurl.com/l5o

Not sure if any of these will help you...but I think you should look thru
them anyway.

The other thing I would try, if you haven't already is go to Outlook's Help
menu and run Detect and Repair....this could fix it maybe...you will need
your Office CD to do this.

Good luck...let us know how it goes.

Subject: [mso] Outlook error: "...parameter is not valid"

Help. I am getting an error every time a contact or calendar event is
created or edited. The error message says "..parameter is not valid" and
suggests the my file may be read only or permissions not set. This
started happening after Office 97 was upgraded to Office XP, Educational
edition on an Win 98 system.

The outlook.pst file is NOT read only.
No permissions in Win98, of course.
I ran scanpst.exe and that did not help.
I read somewhere that some cross linking of records may cause that, but
checking for that did not help.
I created a new outlook data file (leaving the outlook.pst there) and I
still got the error.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.
