Which version of Outlook? This was a known issue with Outlook 2000 and (I
think) 2002...it used to happen to me all the time...the only version where
this doesn't seem to happen to me is 2003. I don't think it was as bad with
2002, but I do remember when I ran 2000 that I had to "end task" on Outlook
using ctrl+alt+del every time I closed it, or I too would have multiple
copies running when I opened it again.

Subject: [mso] Outlook double loads......

My outlook opens twice everytime I open it. The 2nd copy does not show in
the task bar so I was not aware of it running. I did a Ctrl Alt Del and saw
eight copies of it running. McAfee says I am clean. I updated it and ran it
again. Still clean it says. SpyBot says I am clean.

I did install WeatherAlert (I don't know if the problem started before this
or not), so I uninstalled it hoping that would make the double loading go
away. No go, so I put WeatherAlert back on. It visually alerts me to weather
warnings, which I appreciate lately.

I just did a Ctrl - Alt - Del and counted 12 copies running. What should I
do? I hope a reinstall of Office is not required.

Thanks.

Robert
