Hi All. I've been tasked with finding a quick note-taking applet that will reside on the desktop but that won't cost much if anything. I researched several applets reviewed by ZDNet and Tucows. I've been testing them and so far have found Quicknote to be the most functional of the bunch. However, Outlook has a notes feature which I personally use within Outlook. That means Outlook must be open which for some is a negative. I placed a shortcut to the Desktop for New Note so Outlook can just stay minimized which is cool. The only things missing for many is an alarm feature. I've tried explaining that the Calendar can provide alarms but they don't want that. The other feature they want is the ability to have notes be transparent and reside on top of other apps. For example, I right now have a Quicknote open on top of the email I'm typing. Because it's transparent, it's not interfering. Although, if there are words in the note, transparent or not, it's in the way. I don't pretend to understand the actual objective in this particular exercise but I need to ask if anyone knows of Outlook add-ins for the Notes feature. ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
