If you've never set up Outlook before, when you open the program a
wizard will open leading you through the steps. If not, you can access
the new account through Tools/Email accounts.
You'll need to contact your email provider and ask them for the POP and
SMTP addresses for your service. POP is the incoming server direction
and SMTP is our outgoing mail server. Usually they're the same and
something like mail.hotmail.com or maybe pop.hotmail.com, where hotmail
is the name of your original account.
But I see you're on AOL and I'm not sure they allow you to do that from
AOL??? Someone with AOL might be able to advise you better and maybe
even provide you with the server details.
Then you just go through the wizard, answer the questions and enter your
email account and password, along with server addresses and you should
be set. There are also several customization options under Tools/Options
you'll want to check out to make sure all the settings are the way you
want. So once you're set, go thought ALL of them and set it up the way
you need.
