Sorry, but without knowing what you did in Outlook...what the messages said,
I don't know what to tell you.

However, do realize that Outlook Express is not part of Office...so it's
also Off Topic for this list. And if Linda were here....<smirk>

Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer. So you need to find a user
support list for that suite of applications. You can ask in the free
Microsoft newsgroup, which you can access here:
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups

Good luck!

I did read them. This happened a week ago and I wasn't on this list yet to
ask any questions. I just don't remember what the other things were. My
contact list did not show up in Outlook. And I said no to it being my
default email program.
I'm not so much worried about what I did now as much as I am wanting to know
how to bring in my address book from MSN.

You didn't pay attention to all those OTHER THING that Outlook was asking!
It knows you were using OE. When you opened it, it offered to be your
default email program. What did you say? If you don't remember or didn't pay
attention to what you were clicking...you probably said yes...so OL sucked
up your address book. Open Outlook and see if all your names are now in
there.

Note...message pop up for a reason, you should read them.

Subject: [mso] Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook

I am still very new to using Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook. I set up
my express and had added all my contacts (I'm sure I added them the hard
way) and used it for a week or two. No problems. Then, I decided to use
Microsoft Outlook. When I opened it up it asked me something about using it
as my default email and probably some other things. Then the next time that
I opened Express, all my contacts were gone. What did I do? Are they lost or
can I still retrieve them? And, since I added them the hard way in the first
place, how do I import my addresses from MSN without having to go the long
way?
Thanks,
Angie
