Ok....unfortunately, you are using the absolute worst version of Outlook
around...even Microsoft found it necessary to upgrade Outlook 97 to
Outlook 98 for free cuz 97 stunk so bad.

And I don't even have a copy of 97 anymore, so I can't answer any more
of your questions...you are right tho, Tools>Options in 97 is way
different from the later versions...but I do know that garbage and
theWINMAIL,DAT stuff you are getting in your mail is becuz you are using
Outlook Rich Text...I just don't remember where in Tools>Options, you
turn it off in that version.

My opinion is, if Outlook 97 is the only version of Outlook you have,
you would be better off with almost any other version of Outlook you can
find.

Anyone in here still running Outlook 97 that can help Ess?

Some quick replies and then I'm off to slipstick.com.

<<Good luck...if any of this isn't working for you, please go to the

what version it says you have in there.>>

It simply says Microsoft Outlook 97 (and every time I check
there, an=20

Office97,=20

install=20
Outlook until yesterday.
