Thanks Dian, I found that setting and I've set it to maximum timeout. Now
I'll just wait and see if that fixes it.

Joe

Your provider probably has issues with a clear connection, but you can UP
the time outs.

Go into your email account properties, via Tools/Options/Mail (delivery or
setup or some such word...depending on versions)/Email Accounts.

Then...click the account name and use the Properties or Change button
(version specific). On that dialog, you'll see a MORE SETTING button, click
it. An Internet setting panel appears with lots of tabs. Choose the Advanced
Tab. This is where you can change ports (don't!) and set to leave copies on
the server if you access from elsewhere. But there's also a Timeout
slider...up that to max and that should help you keep up with a faulty ISP.

Subject: [mso] Outlook 2002 message stuck in Outbox

I'm using Outlook 2002/MS Office XP Standard on a IBM THinkpad with Win2000.

Occasionally I'll notice a message seems to get stuck in the Outbox and
recipients complain they receive 2 or more copies of the same message. It
seems to happen more often when I'm sending to multiple addresses. On
occassion I have seen a message from Outlook stating that it timed out
trying to send the message. Whenever that happens I can almost bet that a
least some of the adressees will receive duplicates. I've tried detect and
repair but this happens infrequently so I don't know if it fixed anything.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Joe
