Don't remember seeing this here and besides, I want to rant slightly.

In updating my calendar, I noticed that no holidays were showing for 2003.
I tried adding the holidays, and all it did was add them to 2002 again, not
2003. So I looked in help, when to the knowledge base and found this:

        SYMPTOMS
When you try to add holidays to the calendar in Microsoft Outlook
2000, the holidays are only available through the 2002 calendar year.
Holidays for 2003 and beyond are not available.
        CAUSE
This behavior is by design. Microsoft Outlook 2000 provides some of
the more popular holidays, but only through to the end of the year 2002.
        WORKAROUND
Additional holidays are available from some third-party companies.

In the near future, Microsoft will provide an updated list of some
holidays on the Microsoft Office Download site. Check this article at a
later date to obtain a link to the update.

To create your own updated list of holidays you can modify the
holiday file (Outlook.txt) for Outlook. To do so, follow the directions in
the following article:

274089 OL2000: How to Customize Outlook Calendar Holidays

This behavior is by design? Why? Did Microsoft think there were going to
be no holidays after 2002? Did they assume we all would have upgraded to XP
by now?

Sorry, thought I'd share this in case others are having the same problem and
I just had to get this off my chest.

Christine
