Thanks for the info...that's what I suspected, as all those installs
I've see have only been the original. It's SR1 that is causing problems.
So as an FYI for you, don't try to install the updates on that version,
as you'll get troublesome errors.
However, I have had a reply from someone on one of the list who DID
successfully install all SRs to Office 97 on WinXP...but it turns out
she ONLY installed Word from Office! So it's very interesting to see
that Word users CAN install Word from Office 97 on WinXP and also
install the updated for Word. So it's somewhere, within the full default
install, that causes the problem.
