Outlook tasks may work better than the journal. You can set priorities, put
down the percentage completed, and put in an end date. you can also add
categories as a way of sorting the tasks into their separate projects.

a step up from that is Microsoft Project. I have used it, but only at
college, which was many years ago now. From memory it is not difficult to
work out.

Hi everyone,
Since there are lots of dedicated Office users on this group I thought
you'd be just the crowd to help me figure out what tool I should use.
I'm a project manager for several projects at my company, and I'm having
a lot of trouble finding an easy way to keep track of project notes in a
way that I can easily look back at them to know what needs to be done,
use time-sensitive ticklers, and maintain some kind of consistent file
on what's happening with a project. Would the Journal function in
Outlook do this for me? Or is there another tool in Office that could
help me with this?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
Elise
