Dear All, I am working with a blind law student trying to sort out her scanned books. Her trouble is that after the books have been scanned there are loads of footnotes. They are on almost every page, and I am wondering if there is a macro which could help me clean off the foot notes. I am giving you an example of how the footnotes are marked below on the pages by other staff who have scanned the book. In an attempt to identify each of the footnotes they have preceeded the footnote section with the prefix: footnotes: as shown below. Then at the end of the footnote they have identified the page with the following example: page 500 and so on. Here is an example of how it would look on the scanned pages. Footnotes: 3 Glanvill X, 18. 4 For examples, see Fifoot History and Sources ch 13, and Helmholz 91 LQR 406. 5 Though in some respects now superseded, the best introduction is still Maitland The Forms of Action at Common Law (1954). 6 For a fuller account see Simpson History Pt I. At the moment I am trying manually to remove the footnotes as her study time prior to exams is getting near and she needs this material. Many thanks for any help. Paul.
