An autoresponder is a rule created in your email program that automatically replies to all mail you receive if you are away from home or the office...it simply tells people you are away. The rules of this group CLEARLY state that you should not include this group's members in your autoresponders becuz the members of this group do not care if you are away AND we don't want the extra, non-helpful, mail. However, many members forget to go to the group's website and put themselves on vacation before they turn on these annoying autoresponders, so I have to do it for them, if I see an autoresponder...I then have to put them on moderated status so they never do it again, which means I must moderate every mail they send to this group...and that's something I do not appreciate, becuz I really don't have the time....but, if I don't, members will unsubscribe becuz of the annoying autoresponders. So...that being said....if anyone goes on vacation and turns on their autoresponder, PLEASE use the website address you see in the footer for every email you receive from this group, and go there and use the dropdown to put yourself in vacation mode so you won't receive mail from the group while you are away and the group WON'T receive your autoresponders. I received an answer from an autoresponder and have no idea what to do about it as he did not address my question---just indicated that he would be on vacation.
