Yes, David. You can easily create labels in Word. Realize that the Word layout is simply a complex table layout. So what you want to do is to create ONE...get it right...and then copy that one to all the other cells. * What you'll want to do is click the Tools menu and get to the Labels dialog (depending on your version, it's on there somewhere!<smile>) * Click on the Labels tab and then click on OPTIONS on that dialog box and ferret around to find the label number you're using...or create a new label definition from the sizing charge using a ruler to make sure it measures correctly. * Click NEW DOCUMENT to have the layout spread out on a new page and you should save this as your master format, so you don't have to dig out that size/info again. * Make sure you have Tools/Options/View/Text Borders turned on so you can see the cell boundaries. * Then insert your image into one cell and size it to fit the boundaries or click Format/Picture to set the wrapping. You can also put it in a textbox if you want to adjust the wrapping and sizing, but be sure to go through all the tabs and remove the inside margin from the textbox, as well as the shading and border. * Once you have one cell with the picture the way you want it...you can drop another TextBox OVER the image and type inside that TextBox. Note...you can also just set the image as the background of the TextBox and then just type over it...but that can be tricky if you've never done it before. However, it works great! * Once you have the image/text all set up in one frame, you should save that page and print the one cell onto a blank page...hold it up to the light against your labels and make sure you've got the layout correct. * Now you just need to select that cell and copy/paste it into all the other cells! The tricky part is getting the cursor JUST RIGHT to select the "sweet spot" of the cell that will select all the info in it. You can move your cursor to the outside/left of the cell...until it's just about balanced on the border line and it'll turn into a small, dark, solid, arrow pointing to the right. Click it and you'll have the cell. But if you get fed up, go to Table/Select/Cell and that should get it all! * Then hit Ctrl/C to copy, move to the next cell and hit Ctrl/V to drop the same info into the next cell. Fill up all the large cells (depending on your size, you may have small, divider cells...don't use those! * Then save and print. Now the only caveat here is if you plan to do a mail merge to separate addresses for each label. If these were, say, return labels...no problem. You're done. But if they are merged address labels...then, while you're still working to fix up that ONE first label, you'll need to turn on the mail merge (database) dialog box and enter Record Fields where you want the names/addresses set and an end record marker at the end of each label. Then copy all that to each cell. Then you get the data and merge that with this set of labels. I wrote an article on this, as I create lots of labels for everything. The article has lots of images to show you how to do all this: Make Your Own Holiday Labels http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/Pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=126 Have fun!
