We need to know two things to be able to help you: 1. How are you inserting the picture? 2. What format is the picture? (jpg, gif, bmp, etc.) Let us know this and I'm sure we can figure out why the inline with text option is greyed out. But, first you could try this: Have you tried copying the picture and using Paste Special to paste it in in a different format that will allow you to set it inline with text?
