Let me add to this....if you format something using bold, underline,
font change, etc....THAT will hold when you put it into another
document...but if you format something using Styles (heading, normal,
etc.), the Style of the document you put it into will take over...but
since she said it's not in the format of either document, that's what's
got me confused

But...most of the time when this stuff happens, it's the Styles taking
over....or corruption

Yes...it should, Tina.  I only asked her to do it the other way so I
could see if it happened that way too.  Just trying to troubleshoot why
it's happening.  And, we ARE talking Word 97 here, remember.

Speaking of which, Christine...have any of the SR patches been applied
to these installs of Word 97?
