Gaynel Customising toolbar buttons/commands. Whilst the Customise dialog is open. General tips.. Hold Ctrl & drag a button to copy it from a default toolbar to your custom toolbar. As you have found, just drag a button and drop it anywhere other than a toolbar to remove it. Select a Microsoft toolbar name in the Customise dialog and press Reset to return it to its initial/default state. I always have my own customised copies of Standard & Formatting toolbars. These are not lost when you reinstall or Normal.dot gets corrupted whereas if you customise any of the Word default toolbars, your customisations are lost. Just go into customise again, grab the missing command from the commands list and drag it back into the menu. (Works fine in 2003, and should on whatever version of Word you're using.)
