Here's what I found at

_
(http://www.dbforums.com/microsoft-access/247983-auto-fill-how-turn-off.html)
.
For all of you that feel this Auto-Fill nonsense is a pain in the a$$,
well...you're all out of poopy luck. This is a built in feature and there's
not really much you can do about it.
If never the less, this really bites you then what you can do is mull over
this little thought. Tables are for storing data and Forms are a pretty
good and flexible interface for a ways and means of supplying that data.

Try making a Continuous Form and design it to simulate your Table
Datasheet view. Don't try and make a Datasheet Form because you'll just end up
with
the same nonsense.

If it's any comfort...I've read somewhere that Microsoft has widely heard
about this complaint and removed this feature or has implanted a means to
disable it in Access 2007.

Wonder why....

I think the autocomplete is shared across Office apps so you may need to go
into Excel or Word to turn it off.

Subject: [mso] How to turn off auto-complete in Access?

I am using Access 2003, and in this particular case I am entering data
directly into the tables, tabbing across the fields.

There is an irritating "feature" I would like to disable. If I enter 1 in a
field, tab to the next and enter 2, tabbing to the following fields
increments by 1 each time, so it is attempting to second-guess me
(incorrectly.)

I searched, but couldn't find any way to turn this off (or, indeed, any
reference to it at all in the "Help."

Thanks

Peter
