Hi Mark...it depends on what operating system you are using as to where
in the Windows Registry this is stored....but, I assume if you want to
change it for the Office programs that you probably want to change it
for any other software in your computer, including Windows itself

What I would do is go into the registry (Start>Run, type
regedit)....make sure My Computer is highlighted in the left pane and go
to the Edit menu and choose Find....type in your old company name and it
will find it anywhere in the registry where it is located and show it to
you in the right pane...when it finds the first one, just double click
the key in the right pane and change the value to your new company name
and click OK....then hit F3 to find the next place this name exists and
change them all just by changing, then hitting F3 again until you get
the message that the registry search is done

If you have never played around in the registry before, here's some
instructions from Vic on how to back it up and restore it in case you
have any problems afterwards:

I have a legitimate copy of O2K - It has my name but my old company name

at startup.

Where do I change it?

Thanks,

Mark
