Hi, Every night I export the pst file from my desktop and then import it into my laptop. What I'd like to happen is have a "carbon copy" of the pst on the laptop. But what is happening is that new emails, new and updated contacts are put on the laptop, but old things that perhaps have been deleted from the desktop remain on the laptop. Is there a way to have a new pst overwrite an old one rather than updating it? I thought I could just rename the old pst before importing the new one, but am getting this message when I try to rename: "Cannot rename outlook: It is being used by another person or program. Close any program that might be using the file and try again." The problem is Outlook is not open on either machine when I try to rename the old pst on the laptop. Any help out there on how to do this? I'm using Outlook 2003 on the desktop and 2000 on the laptop.
