Is this an access form/inventory control type database? If so, what is
your table structure, where your value for items in stock is stored? There
are several good discussions on inventory databases located at
http://www.utteraccess.com/, by typing the keyword "inventory". Please let
us know what software you're working with and more about your data, thank

I have a simple order form. The name of the item is selected from a
validation list. Next to the list on which the drop down is based are the
numbers of the items in stock. How can I simply get the program to find
the item in the list and decrement the number next to it by the number
that the client requires.
