Adding a little to this....the constant VBCtrLf is a combination of the two ASCII characters that make up a row terminator. CHAR(10) the [Ctrl] key and CHAR(13) the [Enter] key strokes. I think if you export as MSDOS text this is added to the end of each line in the resulting text file. -Anthony -----Original Message----- From: James LaBorde [ mailto:jlaborde@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, August 04, 2003 4:14 PM To: 'mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [mso] Re: Data from Access Fixed-Width :VSMail mx2 Glenda, These may be actual positions that their software looks for. You may want to verify it, but if it is, you can simply add a field at the beginning and end of your table that include these as a default. Format the remainder of your data appropriately and export with those two fields set to 2 spaces each. The person to whom I'm sending the data says I need something called a row terminator where 0D=return and 0A=new line This is Greek ( or maybe ASCII ; ) ?) to me. I'd be grateful if someone could please 'splain. /g ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line.
