WordPerfect files open in Word almost automatically. When you double-click= the file to open, you will be presented with a list of options to convert = from. The choice you want is automatically detected, so you can usually = just click OK and encounter no problems opening the document. From there, if you want the document to have a .doc extension, just = perform a Save As. I can tell you that this process is by no means perfect. We use a = conversion macro created by a consultant to clean up several weird font = and spacing issues (most notably, the WP Typographic Symbols font used for = some standard punctuation will display strangely for some users who do not = have WordPerfect installed). In addition, footnotes sometimes display = strangely and spacing issues are a concern. You can contact me offlist if you're interested in our clean-up macro - I = may be able to track down the source code.
