Diane,

Unfortunately this is a known bug in Access 2000 and in Access XP. Your
best bet is to try to find some old Access 97 help files. This doesn't help
with newer topics but usually gets you the basics to understand the topic.
I have heard that Access 2003 finally starts to address the problem and
improves the Help section tremendously. I haven't seen this to confirm it
though.

James

My question is about the help files in my Microsoft Access 2000
(9.0.6926 SP-3) application. Some of the help topics I try to open say
"Page cannot be displayed". An example is contained in the topic "Data
Access Page Control Properties". That topic contains a list of links,
only a few of which will open...the rest give me the "Page cannot be
displayed" message.

I'm hoping someone here can give me an idea of what the problem might
be. I know, for example, that with some other applications I own (e.g.,
eHelp's RoboHelp) that I had to switch a setting somewhere in the
software to tell the app to open a local version of the help files
rather than what was apparently a Internet-based set of help files.
Don't know if something like that might be the case here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Diane
